TIEK BYDAY is a design studio formed by a creative partnership of interior designers and architects — mother-daughter duo Cindy and Bridget Tiek and Hance Day Hughes. Working across a range of custom residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, TIEK BYDAY creates award-winning, high-concept designs and experiences from a holistic perspective.

Principal Architect
Hance Day Hughes is a licensed Architect, Interior Designer, & General Contractor in the states of Louisana and Texas. Before his partnership with TIEK BYDAY, he was the founder of the Architectural firm BYDAY from 2017-2022. As the Principal Architect and co-founder, he oversees the Architectural division of the company and enjoys historic renovations, hospitality design, and remote residential retreats. He believes fundamentally in the active collaboration between artisans, clients, and designers as paramount to a project’s success. Hance studied architecture at Virginia Tech, Montana State University, and Louisiana State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture with an Architectural History minor. He has worked at award-winning firms in Seattle, New Orleans, and Washington DC.

Principal Interior Designer
Bridget Tiek is a licensed interior designer specializing in luxury residential, hospitality, and creative workspaces. She is passionate about designing spaces that are experiential and elicit powerful emotions. After completing her degree in interior design from Louisiana State University, she spent a decade working with well-known firms and co-founded Tiek & Co. with her mother, Cindy Tiek, in 2017, prior to forming TIEK BYDAY in 2023. Bridget brings high-concept designs to life through a process grounded in visualizations and detailed sketches and an intuitive eye for schematic and spatial design.

Principal Interior Designer
A licensed interior designer, Cindy Tiek is driven to create environments that have a transformative impact on people. After a successful first career as an engineer, Cindy turned toward her artistic side, pursuing a second career in interior design. She holds bachelor’s degrees in both chemical engineering and interior design from Louisiana State University. Cindy worked at industry-recognized firms for ten years before co-founding TIEK BYDAY. With her dual background in art and engineering, Cindy is adept in detail-oriented and highly technical problem-solving, a critical asset in the design realm. She can thoughtfully sift through creative ideas or visual noise, editing a vision down to its most dynamic parts for a successful implementation.

Meet Katie, a Baton Rouge native with a passion for architectural interiors. Armed with a degree from Louisiana State University, she blends regional heritage with modern design. In Austin, Texas, she's made her mark with published projects in residential, commercial, and multi-family spaces. Katie's expertise includes custom furnishings, vital for enhancing architectural narratives. Driven by her fervent zeal, she infuses warmth and functionality into spaces, harmonizing aesthetics, budgets, and timelines effortlessly. Senior Architectural Designer
Randy, a dynamic designer at TIEK BYDAY. Specializing in revitalizing residential spaces through custom renovations and new construction, Randy's expertise lies in historical preservation and boutique hospitality design. A Baton Rouge native and LSU graduate, his hands-on approach to renovation is guided by the principle that form should follow function. Randy's passion for architecture translates into practical yet aesthetically pleasing spaces, where every project is an opportunity to merge functionality with beauty.
Architectural Designer
Tuan, a passionate designer at TIEK BYDAY who thrives on crafting bespoke residential and commercial projects. Hailing from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Tuan's journey into architecture began at Louisiana State University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Architecture with a focus on architectural history.
With a lifelong affinity for artistry, Tuan's upbringing fostered a deep appreciation for the intricate interplay of form and function within design.
Today, Tuan channels his childhood curiosity into redefining spaces, exploring how architecture influences human interaction and experience. His design ethos, rooted in modernism with nods to mid-century and classical influences, resonates in his creations, elevating the lifestyles and work environments of TIEK BYDAY's discerning clientele.
Studio Manager
Sydney, a Baton Rouge native and LSU graduate, serves as the organizational backbone of our design firm. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for efficiency, Sydney ensures smooth project execution from start to finish. Through her expertise in project management and communication, she keeps our team coordinated and our clients satisfied.
